Sonic and the Ability Crystals
Chpt 1: The Red Hedgehog

“It’s about time we got a break!”
Amy Rose laid back on her folding chair and watched the waves roll in and out of the ocean. She finally had a vacation from all the latest adventures they have had. Knuckles, Tails, and (to her pleasure) Sonic decided to take a little vacation from their quest to do things from stopping Eggman and Eggman Nega to joining the Olympics against Team Mario.
“This is the life!” said Sonic. “What do you think guys?”
Tails sat up and said, “I think it’s a pleasant change of pace.”
Knuckles frowned and said, “I still think I should be protecting the Master Emerald from guys like Eggman.”
“Come on!” Amy exclaimed. “You’ve been working hard lately. We’ve all been. Just lay back and stare at the clouds.”
They were having a good time. They were visiting the peninsula town of Hericous. Even Knuckles had to admit it was nice to take a break after noticing the scenery of the ocean shore. Things couldn’t have been better.
Suddenly, they heard the sound of footsteps walking across the shore.
They looked up to find a red hedgehog walking across the beach. His head had crazy hair that pointed out forward in two spikes (imagine Timmy Turners hair, but  red) and gloves with little red places at the end of his fingers. On his chest, a crystal-looking mark looking like four triangles in a side-by-side shape.
Sonic got up and walked to him. The hedgehog was almost his age, maybe one year younger. “Hey!” said Sonic. “Who are you?”
The hedgehog stopped to stare for a few seconds and continued walking, then said, “Call me Telepo.” He kept walking.
Sonic smiled and said, “Nice to meet you Telepo! I’m Sonic. Sonic the Hedgehog. Where’re you going?”
“None of your business.” He said in a mocking way.
Sonic stopped for a minute and then said, “Can you tell me where you come from?”
“No!” Telepo yelled, irritated. “Leave me alone!”
Sonic got angry. “All I said was…” But before he could finish, a puff of smoke appeared, and Telepo disappeared. Farther away, another puff appeared, and out of it came Telepo, running far away.
“Whoa!” Sonic said, very impressed and amazed. “He’s fast! But I’m faster!” And off he ran, to catch up to the mysterious hedgehog.
